Description:

Clan Line Steamers Ltd's 1957 Greenock built CLAN MALCOLM is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago, on 15th April 1970.

On 24th November 1978 CLAN MALCOLM sailed from Hull for East Africa where she was sold and renamed TRINITY FAIR. She was soon sold for breaking, sailing from Bangkok on 25th May 1979 for China. Arriving at Shanghai on 9th July 1979, she was reportedly then broken up locally. However her sistership CLAN MENZIES, renamed TRINITY SPLENDOUR, continued trading intenationally as XING LONG until 1985 and both ships could have continued trading locally around China until the end of the 1980s.
