MUNSTERLANDES (ex-MUNSTERLAND) upbound on the St.Lawrence River off Verchères on October 7, 1981.
This former Hapag-Lloyd cargo ship was one of many ships which were bottled up in the Suez Canal from 1967 to 1975 as a result of the Six-Day War and its aftermath.

another pearl of your collection. I remember her well coming up river Elbe full rigged in 1975 together with e second German vessel after her long trap in the suez channel.

Wasn't the Munsterland owned by Bugsier though, not Hapag Lloyd?

The scan came out pretty well even better than the original slide.
In 1975, Lloyd's listed her as belonging to Hapag-Lloyd.
