The 3 forward cargotanks below Hold 1&2 were used for Latex, the cargotanks 4 to 11 were on the aft deck behind the 2 reefer holds and were used for oils, all discharged by portable pumps. As far as I remember all tanks were heated but cooling the oil down in the aft tanks was always a problem in the tropics.

It looks this class had at least three cargo tanks in the fore ship. Interesting. They used portable pumps for the unloading? I bet some heating coils were attached.

Many general cargo ships of this era, particularly those that were trading to the Far-East, were fitted with deep tanks for the carriage of liquid cargoes like palm oil and liquid latex.
