The CALYPSO was the former Shaw Savill Line SOUTHERN CROSS completed in 1955. Sold to the Greek Ulysses Line in 1973 after a period of lay up in the Port of Southampton and the River Fal.
At the time of this photo being taken the CALYPSO was operating for the British travel company Thomson Cruises.
Her port visit to the city of Amsterdam was probably on one of her Northern European cruises which she undertook during the summer months of 1976/77.
