build in1953 by Framnæs M.V., Sandefjord, Norway, as oil tanker EMERALD for Willy Oppens Rederi & R.Tenviks & Co., Oslo, Norway; becoming MORGEDAL in 1962 and FERMITA of Uglands Rederi, Norway, in 1964. In 1969 sold to Constantine S. Efthymiadis S.A., Piraeus, renamed EFTHYCOSTA II; after collision with ESSO IPSWICH in 1970, she was converted into ro/ro car ferry; from 1977 sailing as ZAKROS for Anek Kritis AE & Minoan Line Shipping S.A., Piraeus; data supplied by Ian Thomas;

Great photo thank you , I saw her as zakros in Piraeus in 1983 , lots of converted tankers around Piraeus at that time

Another rare gem from Wolfgang! Interestingly, her conversion on this photo appears to be less advanced than on later pictures.
