Description:
Stravelakis Brothers' ESTIA was photographed approaching Brunsbüttel locks on 24th June 1971 on a voyage from San Nicolas (Arg.) to Leningrad. Built by Cammell Laird at Birkenhead in 1952 as MANCHESTER SPINNER and sold to Greece in 1968, she soon suffered an explosion and sank off Paramaribo on 25 November 1971 on a voyage from the Gulf of Mexico to Brazil with a cargo of phosphates
