Sadly, in the early hours of June 17, 2020, the REBECCA MARY sent out a distress call from a position south of Martha's Vineyard. The Coast Guard arrived at the coordinates of the EPIRB signal to find only the bow of the vessel above water. Fortunately, all four crew members made it onto a life raft, and were safely rescued, but the vessel was lost in 200 feet of water.
