As we can see from the car-pontoons carried on deck, she is a car/bulk-carrier. It was quite common on bulkers in the 1960's and 70's. They normally carried cars one way and bulk-cargoes on return voyages across the Atlantic and Pacific. When carrying bulk cargoes the pontoons was stowed on deck. Stern-ramp was not so common, I have only seen a few Japanese car/bulkers equipped with one
