As an ex Brocklebank man, it is a delight to see such a fine photo of this ship. I never saw her but visited several of her sisters when our paths crossed at Colombo in the early sixties.

Remember loading explosives at Milford Haven, hold had to be timber lined, all electrical wiring diverted, wouldn't these coasters have to be similarly customised ?

It's not an ICI (ROSLIN was bridge aft, as was THORIUM, which they disposed of some time that year) - McGOWAN had a built up aft accommodation, and a different bridge; also this one seems to have mainmast behind the bridge, not in the aft position. And ICI funnel was quite different. Compare:

Agree KARRI looks a very good match, in the colours of W N Lindsay Ltd, Leith.

My post just now should have said "LADY ROSLIN" as Anstruther had already reverted back to razor blades!

Yvon. I think you are correct even though there seems too many letters in photograph.
The regular explosives coasters were ICI's "LADY McGOWAN" or "LADY ANSTRUTHER but certainly neither of them.

It's got an Osborne & Wallis look but not sure whether anything matches.

The coaster could be KARRI (Imo5182724).

Chapman Anchorage, if I remember. Handy for the Canvey gas terminal and within sight of the RICHARD MONTGOMERY.
