Thanks, Rick, for the interesting comment. I missed to see her in Hamburg. In those days I also made a trip to the Eastern Mediterranean (on CAP SIDERO), taking also two months - incredible today!

Thank you for this very nice image Wolfgang.

My daughter's father in law (Schwiegervater), and my friend, is a retired Italian Captain.

I have a list of the ships he sailed on, and I recognized this as one of them. I sent him the link to this image, and he replied that he sailed on this ship for six months in 1973 as a junior deck officer.

He says: The ship's regular liner service was: Venice, Trieste, Bari, Salerno, Lisbon, London, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Genoa, Naples and Trieste again. Each round voyage was about two months duration.

Great nostalgia. Thanks again!
