Built 1942 at Mobile, AL, by the Alabama DD&SBCo., huill no. 240, as the "Liberty" ship (EC2-S-C1) *Joel Chandler Harris* US242183 for the War Shipping Administration, J. H. Winchester & Co., manager. 441'6" x 57' x 27'9;" 7259 gt, 4446 nt; triple expansion steam engine, 24.5-37-70.5 x 48," built by General Machinery Corp., Hamilton, OH.

Later *Grain Shipper* (1956), *Pacific Explorer* (1958), *Montego Sea* (1960), *Toxon* (1961), *Fanmar* (1962), and *Fanlil* (1965). Broken up at 1968 at Hirao, Japan.

Shown as *Fanmar* at Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois, USA, while owned by Milos Maritime Co., Ltd., Monrovia, Liberia.
