We were on our way to get shots of the two cruise ships just waiting off the coast when we saw the fire. We both thought it was just a practice burn that they often do. There's a good shot of it on G Captain.

Right side middle of the photo the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) can be seen. She caught fire this morning, July 12. 150 firefighters responded. 21 non-life threatening injuries, no deaths. Latest word is she is still burning.

There is a Zumwalt class destroyer partly visible in the background.
