Next, one would see a yacht & go commenting how awful she looks, not realizing it's actually a former FPSO!

To each their own obviously. For me, fishing vessels always stand out as a haven of decent design in a sea of ugly ships. The owners usually care about the looks. This ARIS-TIMA is quite interesting. A classic Dutch beam trawler converted to a yacht. There are a handful of these around.

Awful? I don't think so! A bit reminiscent of the "Peters-look", eager-to-get-there German coasters. Also, as a fishing vessel, gave the skipper a good view of what's happening on-deck. Quite aesthetically attractive as a yacht, too - though I have no interest in "rich-man's-toy" yachts, converted or purpose-built.

Awful superstructure, it all looks as though it is in an awful hurry to get somewhere.
