Built in 1980 at Warnemunde as ERFURT, for VEB Deutsche Seereederei of Rostock, she was sold in 1993 to Naviera Universal S.A. ("UNILINE") of Peru

She was sold in 1998 to International Associated Cargo of Cairo, taking the name TRANS CARGO 5 and in March 2008 was renamed FUSION 1.
