Description:

Launched 6 March 1973 as the *Notre Dame Victory* (US 547919) at Chester, PA, by the Sun SB&DDCo., hull no. 660, for the United States Trust Co. of New York, Wilmington, DE. 774.1' x 125.2' x 57.8;' 37784 gt, 27073 nt; twin GE steam turbines geared to a single shaft, 24000-shp.

Later *Aquila* (1977), *Ogden Yukon* (1979), and *Omi Yukon* (1986). Suffered major explosions and fires in the starboard fuel oil storage tanks and engine room while enroute to Ulsan, South Korea from Barbers Point, Hawaii, 28 October 1986, sinking at 23.35N/174.26W. Four dead, the remainder of the crew rescued by the Japanmese fishing vessel *Shoichi Maru.*

She was an identical sister of the *Sohio Resolute,* posted above.
