@jackosan: No Halon was fitted while under Norwegian flag, possibly when she was transfered to Hong Kong and renamed TOMAR. Thanks for posting and comment.

My visit in 1985 was to investigate the possibility of retrofitting a Halon 1301 firefighting system in the Engine Room, but I don't know if this was carried out.

Woow. Wilhelmsens old "Thalatta". She had a short life in Wilhelmsen service, she entered into the fleet in a dilapidated state, so there was quite a lot of overtime work to keep her sailing. When finally improvement was done, she was "flagged out". Well, what else is new in shipping? :-)
