This ship is visible in a distant part of a photo taken by an unknown photographer in Dalian in around 1973/4. She is clearly the 1949 built ex RIALTO of Ellerman's Wilson Line,
which had arrived in Whampoa in May 1971 for breaking as the SANDRA under the Cypriot flag. As was not uncommon, the Chinese must have decided to use her in their local trade rather than scrap her. Her name has now been established as GANG 2 (Steel 2) and she was renamed again as ZHANDOU 2 in 1975 and scrapped in 1979
