Description:

The SD14 type LANTIC RUBY is seen laid up and under arrest at Antwerp on 1st June 2000.

Built at Niteroi in 1979 as L/L COLOMBIA for Lloyd-Libra Navegacao (LOLISA) of Rio, she was sold in 1995 to become PROCYON followed in 1996, on sale to a Malaysian company, by the name AMITY UNION. She took the unlikely name of LANTIC RUBY in 1999 on transfer to a local company named “Atlantic Ruby”.

Later in 2000, still in Malaysian ownership, she was placed under the Bolivian flag and renamed MILACKU for a single voyage east from Liverpool to Karachi loaded with scrap metal. She arrived at Alang on 10.2.01 to be broken up.
