Description:
Empresa de Navegação Mercantil S.A. (Nav. Mansur Ltda) of Rio de Janeiro's 1981 Niteroi built Prinasa 26/15 type MANSURNAVE II is seen approaching Port Tewfik, the northbound entrance to the Suez Canal, on 27th April 1996.
After developing serious engine problems on 1st February 1996 she had returned to Port Kelang and, after trials, sailed from there again on 2nd March 1996 bound for Amsterdam.
In the Mediterranean Sea she was obliged to enter Valletta harbour, Malta, on 13th May with renewed engine problems and subsequently sailed from there on 18th June, arriving at Amsterdam on 2nd July.
Due to financial problems she was detained at Amsterdam in September 1996 and was to be sold. She eventually sailed under tow of the tug YASNYY on 20th January 1999 bound for Piraeus where she was renamed NAVE by new owner Success Shipping S.A.of Piraeus.
By early 2000 she had resumed trading as LOBELIA, managed by Eastmar Management of Piraeus, sailing from Porsgunn on 10th April 2000 bound for Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala.
