She must almost be a match in size for Shell tankers,Bellamya and Batillus.
Must be one of the longest ships to enter the New Waterway.
We must also remember the late Mike Griffiths who was also there on that day.

Hi Pieter, thanks for your comment on this very large tanker.
I think it is the biggest ship i have ever seen, being empty makes her look enormous dwarfing those tugs.
Would all traffic have been stopped for her passage to the Botlek?
Do you know her length?

It must be ages ago since I saw a VLCC in that stretch of water. The Verolme/Keppel/Damen dockyard seems to have lost that market totally.
