GLOBAL NATALI is seen passing Port Tewfik southbound on the Suez Canal on 29th May 1996.

Built in 1978 at Niteroi as ANAKENA for CCNI, Chile, she was lengthened at Ulsan in 1988 to 167.9m giving new tonnages of 11401gt/17659dw.

In 1992 she was sold to West Coast Marine Company of Cyprus, and renamed NATALI H., taking the name GLOBAL NATALI in 1996, managed by Elpida Marine of Limassol but possibly with a charter back to CCNI as she appears to have retained their colours.

On 26th October 1996 she was abandoned by her crew north of the Seychelles after fire had broken out on voyage from Mumbai and Sharjah to Brazil via Durban. She was taken in tow for Mahe where discharge of her cargo was completed on 20th February 1997.

She was renamed GLOBE for the voyage to breakers at Mumbai where she arrived on 28th January 1998.
