Description:

GALLANT II is seen sailing past Portishead, outward bound from Portbury dock near Avonmouth, on 1st July 2000 following discharge of a cargo of Brazilian timber.

Built in 1976 by Mitsui at Tamano, Japan, as GALLANT PIONEER for Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, the main part of her career, as GALLANT II from 1984 to 2003, was under the ownership of Nicholas G.Moundreas of Piraeus who, together with Nikolaos Frangos, built up a large fleet of ships, mainly named with the prefix "GOOD", managed by the Good Faith Shipping Company.

GALLANT II finally arrived off Alang 24.9.03 to be beached and broken up.
