Description:

Built in 1912 at Goolwa, Sth Australia near the entrance to the Murray River, the vessel has a wood fired Marshall compound steam engine. After trading along the river for many decades carrying passengers, general cargo and wool she now operates as a tourist ship based at Echuca.

Unusual for two things:
Firstly "P.S.CANBERRA" is indeed her official name (at least since 1950).
Secondly, although she had a diesel engine fitted in the 1960s, they left the 1912 Marshall engine in situ - and she was restored to steam power c2001.
