Good find Frafo!
Definitely the work boats of THURINGIA, I should know as I sailed on sister WESTFALIA. Look at at all the paint spills on her, red Hapag boottop and primer paint from waterside maintenance. All workboats looked like that sooner or later.

These are hardly lifeboats at all. Thuringia is supposedly the latin name of one of the 16 german states (Thüringen). So countless people might find reason to give the boat on top that very name. For all we know the other one might carry the name Saxonia or whatever. cheers
