Description:
Built at Belfast in 1946 as SALAVERRY for Pacific S.N. of Liverpool, Greek owners had purchased the ship in 1967 and renamed her PELIAS as which she was here photographed passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago today, on 21st February 1971.
PELIAS sadly foundered in December 1972 on a voyage from Maceio to Saigon with a cargo of bagged sugar
