Launched 21 November 1907 at Wyandotte, MI, by the Detroit SBCo. hull no. 174 as *Thomas Barlum* for the Postal SSCo., Detroit. 480’ x 52.2 x 30; 5752 gt, 4485 nt; triple expansion steam engine, 22.5”-36-60 x 42, 1600-ihp, by builder.
Later Canadian *Algosteel* (1934). Sunk as a breakwater at Burns Harbor, Indiana, USA, summer 1967.
Shown at 95th Street and the Calumet River, November 1962, opwned by the Algoma Central & Hudson Bay RyCo. Forty years ago there existed a continuous dailyprocession of lake and saltwater vessels up and down this river during the navigation season.
