Description:
Launched 22 August 1906 at West Bay City, MI, by the West Bay City SBCo. as hull no. 619 for the Cambria SSCo., Cleveland. 580’ x 58 x 27.4; 7239 gt, 5419 nt; triple expansion steam engine, 24”-39-65 x 42, 1878-ihp, by Detroit SBCo.
Broke in two and sank during a violent gale 29 November 1966 twenty-six miles northeast of Harbor Beach, MI, on Lake Huron. A total of 28 crew lost their lives, with one survivor.
