Description:
British India S.N.'s 1950 built CHILKA is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago today, on 26th March 1971, during a voyage from Cochin via Karachi to U.K. ports.
Built by Swan,Hunter & Wigham Richardson at Newcastle, CHILKA continued trading until arriving at Kaohsiung on 25th July 1972 for breaking.
