@ Captain Ted....regarding accomodation/hull design etc., see below infos, extracted from "Seabrokers.no" web site....

DOF has accepted delivery of AHTS vessel
Skandi Iceman from the Vard Soviknes shipyard
in Norway. The vessel was constructed utilising
the VARD 2 12 design, with her hull built by Vard
Tulcea in Romania.
Skandi Iceman has been designed for world wide
operations, and comes with DNV’s ICE-1B class
notation. Amongst other features, she has a low
resistance hull shape which is designed for high
speed and low fuel consumption, along with good
sea and station-keeping performance, excellent
manoeuvrability and good stability. The vessel
also comes equipped with an ROV hangar with a
launch and recovery ROV system.
Skandi Iceman has now entered the North Sea
spot market, with DOF securing her first fixture
on the same day that she was delivered. The
vessel’s first job is with MLS, to move the semisubmersible Leiv Eiriksson in the Barents Sea
offshore Norway. This charter could keep her
busy for a period of up to 21 days.

You need to remember there is a tow winch, work wire winch and 2 storage reels within the superstructure area. The storage reels will be on the deck above the winches. These types of ships are designed for anchor handling and towing and less so for supply work so a large deck isn't needed for that purpose.

Can someone explain me why the accommodation seems to be very big and encloses big parts of the ship and the stern area is rather small compared to forward. I mean I understand that the new bow designs take more space and needed to operate in harsh weathers but it seems layed out for huge crews.. Divers etc ?
