Thank you for your comment, Frank. The difference between now and 100 years ago is that now it's all about flow optimization in the stern part, with ducts and fins and whatnot; modern ore carriers are obviously happy with their stems that look like the one on the photo...

Nice photo of ship, ship not very nice in apperance. They were build them a 100 years ago with the same bow form. Did the know something then that we are only finding out now??. Regards Frank
