Launched 5 October 1943 at Richmond, CA, by Permanente SY No. 2 , hull no. 2162, as *William S. Clark* for the War Shipping Administration, Washington, DC, and assigned to American President Line, an EC2-S-C1 “Liberty” ship. 441’6” x 57’ x 27’8.74;” 7156 gt, 4112 nt; triple expansion steam engine, 24.5”-37-70 x 48, 2500-ihp, by Joshua Hendy IWs.

Later *Punta Mesco* (1947). Broken up at La Spezia, 1965.

Shown on the St. Marys River approaching the Soo Locks, August 1964, her last season of operation, owned by “Unione” Soc. per Azioni, Genoa.
