Description:
VEB Deutsche Seereederi's 1969 Wismar built Afrika type WISMAR, which it is understood was planned to be named ANNABERG, is seen passing Portishead inbound for Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago today, on 22nd May 1971 (my 23rd birthday) during a voyage from Mombasa to Rostock.
Later: 1991 SHEN DA (Shenzhen Daxi Marine Shipping Co., Guangzhou)
She finally arrived at Calcutta on 3rd December 1996 for breaking.
