Cisco's right about the material of the chart table. But it was well fitted & produced no rattling noises

Ah, the radar hood with the 'hand holes' so you could use your chinagraph pencil to do radar plots during daylight.

I don't think that is a steel chart table . It looks more like chipboard with a 'woodgrain' plastic veneer.

Also interesting the steel-chart table. Those desks were rattling and making noices from the vibrations as hell and in every little nook and crane was a piece of paper or whatever was available. The good old wood tables did not make noices !!!
