Sirron engines were designed by a Mr Norris hence the engine name. Mr Norris was Mr Everards son in law.

I went to Westport, New Zealand on her as O.S. when she was the 'Guardian Carrier'. (The Ethel Everard) Before that I was on Everard's barge 'Cambria'

This must be a sistership: Ethel Everhard. Re-named Guardian Carrier and then Robert Koch in Canada in 1977

No problem. If you have more.... :-P

Interesting photo. Recognized the shape from the Koch even while rolling along fast in the board.

Yes, definitely.
As 'Guardian Carrier' she was used to distribute cement around the New Zealand coast from Westport, on the South Island west coast.
Converted to bulk cement carrier in 1963, when she was renamed from 'Ethel Everard'.
Sold in 1974 to St Lawrence Cement Co, Toronto, and renamed 'Robert Koch'.
She met her end off Oswego, New York, in October 1985.
