Description:

Canadian-flag Halco tanker FROBISHER TRANSPORT as shown while upbound in the St.Lawrence Seaway on October 5, 1976.
Built in 1969 as OLAU SYD for Olau Line, she was sold in 1972 to J.D.D. Brown of London who renamed her AXEL HEIBERG. Following a bareboat charter to Hall Corporation in 1974, she was acquired by the company and renamed FROBISHER TRANSPORT as shown here.
In 1977, Hall sold her to Shell Canada to become their NORTHERN SHELL. She was lenghtened in 1981 and then sold foreign in 1986. She operated deepsea as LEON and then as MUDRA before being sent to the breakers in 2001.
