Seen passing Portishead, inbound for Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago today, on 15th November 1971, was the CLAN MACINTOSH, delivered to Clan Line by John Brown at Clydebank, in November 1951. She had sailed from Madras on 22nd August and from Cochin on 10th October bound for Avonmouth and Liverpool, suffering a collision on about 5th September.
