An unusual conversion from a good looking general cargo ship to a beast of a fishing vessel, which, it appears is used for krill harvesting.

Keel laid on 11/12/1996, launched on 21/05/1999, & completed on 15/08/1999, by Bodewes Volharding, Foxhol, Netherlands (333)
6,130 g.t. & 8,734 dwt as:
'Vlieborg', to 2011,
'Thorshovdi' to 2011, and
'Antarctic Sea' since.

In 2007 the vessel was widened & converted to a fish factory ship by Fiskerstrand Verft AS, Risevegen, Fiskarstrand, Norway, to 9,432 g.t. & 8,664 dwt.
