Panama-registred cargovessel RAINBOW PRIDE of SD14 design is here seen at Gibraltar in september 1989.
The vessel was built 1971 at Austin & Pickersgill, Sunderland, as SANTA KATERINA. It was one of several SD14 vessels built that time for the greek Colocotronis-group. Originally she was to be named ARCADIAN GLORY, but because of a charter to Hamburg-Süd she (and some of her sistervessels) got a SANTA name.
In 1975 the vessel was sold to Joseph Roth Reederei, Hamburg, and placed under Panama-flag as THOMAS ROTH.
