Description:

The 1962 Bartram built former ARLINGTON COURT, Turnbull Scott's SOUTHGATE from 1964 to 1969, took the name GELA in 1970 for a long term charter to TMM of Mexico. Between 1973 and 1978 she was managed by Reardon Smith. Here GELA is seen passing Rozenburg on 26th May 1974 inbound from Hamburg to load for Veracruz.

In 1979 GELA was sold to Albatross Shipping Enterprises (Constantinos G.Los) of Piraeus, Greece.

GELA was laid up at Astakos around 23rd July 1982 until sold to Palmyra Tsiris Lines in 1984 and renamed CYCLOPUS as which she traded for just two more years before arriving at Chinese breakers in July 1986.
