Description:

The Commissioner of Irish Lights's vessel ,"Atlanta" in Dublin in 1985. Built in 1959 at Dartmouth by Philips and sons, this 214ft ship served until 1988 when it was sold to greek owners. It was converted to a luxery Yacht and registered in the Isle of Man under the name Taris. I cannot find any information on this vessel in it's new guise. Web searches for "yacht Taris" etc usually bring me into 'The Phantom Menace" territory as some fictional space yacht carries the same name!

Disposal Data:

It appears she was broken up only a few years after becoming a yacht.
