Description:

18/11/2009, alongside a repair berth, Sembawang Shipyard, Singapore.

Damage to the ship's shell plating and internal pipes and cables.

Singapore’s Maritime and Ports Authority said ''that the collision happened about 3.5km southeast of Pulau Sebarok. ''MSC Kalina'' had departed from Pasir Panjang Terminal laden with containers.
The ''Aljalaa'' was transiting the Traffic Separation Scheme in the westbound lane.''

Damage extends above and below the waterline.
MSC Kalina subsequently anchored, and returned a few days later, to the Pasir Panjang Container Terminal for full cargo discharge.
Repairs were later made at the Sembawang Shipyard, Singapore.

Thanks Roy, glad you liked 'em.
Things that go 'bump' in the night ;-)
Good job that the bow of the tanker hit the centre of the Kalina, rather than the other way around...in Singapore waters! That coul have had a very different outcome.

Hi Jim, it was so long ago now, that I think the insurance matter has long been settled!
My memory may be failing now, but I seem to recall that the liability was shared between the two ships.
