WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
A dedicated group of enthusiasts (http://www.stiftung-hamburg-maritim.de) has managed to save the veteran cargo liner OLD LADY from the blast furnaces. Trading in Aegean and Black Sea waters during the past years, it was here that the organisation found the ship in a nearly entirely original condition. Built at Rendsburg, on the Kiel Canal, as the BLEICHEN, OLD LADY will return to Hamburg as part of a major maritime history project.
OLD LADY is seen here northbound in the Bosphorus in summer 2001.
