Description:

EURYLOCHUS is seen passing Gravesend inward bound for London from the Far East exactly fifty years ago today, on 16th July 1972.

Built at Bremerhaven in 1960 for the Greek owned Marchessini Lines' services between North Europe and the Far East, she was one of the ships sold in 1974 to Ta Chi Nav (Panama) Corporation.

Sailing from Wakamatsu on 1st August 1976, she arrived at Kuwait on 6th October 1976 where she was sold to Almouaket Shipping & Trading Co (Mustafa Mouaket). Unfortunately she suffered a collision in Kuwait anchorage on 14th April 1977 and never traded again, being sent early in 1981 to Gadani Beach, Karachi, for breaking as AL MAHROUSA, being beached on 24th February 1981.
