Description:

She was completed at Gothenburg in 1964 as STATESMAN for T&J Harrison of Liverpool.
In the summer of 1977 she changed hands in Glasgow becoming the Chinese JIAN CHANG and this is her in fresh paint after coming out of drydock.
I believe she was wrecked on a voyage in the 1990s so had a long life.

Paul - All from memory, but, think she had three sisters . They were all built for the "Toffee" Line Caribbean /Mexico Gulf service. One of the first ships I remember with Fluorescent lighting in the tweendecks and lower holds.

Could'nt post on your "Craftsman" picture. Remember her very well. Believe she only used those jumbo derricks once, on her maiden voyage to East Africa when she dropped off at Bonny a "Miri" Buoy.
