Description:

Portugese tug PIONEIRO is here photographed in the river just below Lisbon in june 1990. Built 1920 at Bordeaux as REMORQUER NO. 6, becoming RAYMOND LANE in 1937 and OCEANIA in 1938.
The Portugese company which bought her in 1960 renamed her PIONEIRO, and had her rebuilt and lenthened. She was in service until 2004 when she was laid up in Lisbon.
After that I have not been able to find out more about this tug; maybe she is still laid up ?
