The 1958 Burntisland built ELIKON, owned by the Prezanis family and represented in London by the better known Helikon Shipping Enterprises, is seen from Avonmouth's south pier outbound on 16th September 1972, exactly fifty years ago today. She had arrived at Avonmouth from Karachi on 22nd July 1972 with a cargo of oilseed for compounding into animal feedstuffs.
