Hull seized 24 June 1942 by German forces in occupied Netherlands, intended German company HAPAG. On 22 May 1943 launched, handed back to S.M.N. and laid-up at Rotterdam, later Dordrecht. On 12 October 1944 deliberately sunk by the Germans, 17 July 1945 salvaged, completed by the yard Scheepsbouwwerf "De Nieuwe Waterweg", delivered 24 December 1947 to S.M.N. as BALI.
In July 1970 to Koninklijke Nedlloyd N.V., Rotterdam, owner remained S.M.N.
In July 1971 to Wing On Steamship Company S.A., Panama as LUCKY THREE, manager Prosperity Steamship Company Ltd, Hong Kong. In 1979 with same name to Tzu Tsai Enterprise Company Ltd, Panama / Taiwan, intended for demolition. Resold to An Hsiung Iron & Steel Co. at Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Left 9 May 1979 Jeddah, arrived before 9 July 1979 at Kaohsiung, start of demolition 28 July 1979.
Belonged to a class of four for S.M.N., sisterships: CELEBES (1947), SUMATRA (1945) and BORNEO (1947).
