Description:

Hanasaari, Helsinki on May 14, 2019. IMO 8503503. Ex-FINN 1987-1991. Specs CLICK.

1990: Capsized off Hanko, Finland on Dec. 27 during heavy weather while pushing the barge Baltic, which also capsized, from Luleå via Raahe to Koverhar, Hanko. Seven crew members and the pilot lost their lives.

1991: Righted on Jan. 31 by crane ship STANISLAV YUDIN and towed to Hanko. After examination left Hanko in tow and arrived on Mar. 21 at Hollming Shipyard, Rauma for repairs.

23.10.1991 renamed STEEL

17.11.1991 returned to service after completed repairs.
