Not very well known for producing product tankers, the Nagasaki yard of Mitsubishi was force by the eighties shipbuilding slump to accept whatever came their way. The Sun Enterprises (Livanos) Evros (#1899) is one such an example, delivered November 1984 and shown here at the entrance of the 3rd Petroleum Dock, from a spot that has been "taken away" from us a long time ago already.
Livanos kept the ship until 2003, when it was sold for operation under the Champion Tanker Group as Ionian Trader. For the last stage her life she was sold in 2009 to Indian interests, who entrusted her to Chittagong breakers in 2012.
