This is an interesting ship with a long history. Built in 1953 for the Swedish National Maritime Administration. In 1998 vessel was totally refitted and began her career as a polar expedition ship. See below link for more details....

Two beautiful photos!
But most of the usual tracking sites class her as a general cargo ship (which is what she looks like); only VesselFinder gives her as a Passenger (Cruise) Ship
